ABOUT OUR ARTIST...

Marie Bauman of Troy, Pennsylvania, specializes in custom made lampshades using our beautiful Tatouage Designs.

Marie graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1974 with a degree in commercial art. She worked as a graphic artist for 14 years at American Silk Label in Troy. In 1991, her art took her in the direction of lampshades. A friend, who had taken a class, showed her the beginning of what she has now developed into a creative way to express her art. In 1995, Marie began displaying her shades at craft shows. She has won four Best of Show awards at the Troy Fair home arts exhibit.

Custom Made Lamp Shades....with Tatouage!

All her shades are made from scratch. You choose the size and dimensions to fit your own lamp. After the size is cut out, the tatouage design is cut, pierced and custom applied. The rings are then glued on to the top and bottom and the lampshade is finished off with decorative braid or grosgrain available in many colors. All shades are WHITE!

Lampshade designs have been inspired by Tatouage designs. Just look through our catalog and pick out your favorite design. Our artist will speak with you personally to help you create a one-of-a-kind lampshade to match your Tatouage decor.

Also available ... for a limited time only... Marie is offering her beautiful smaller Holiday Lamp Shade Collection at a special price. She pierces the bottoms and hand assembles each one. The fun part about many of these shades is the image that magically appears when the light is turned on.
